Bearded Collie

Medium Large Size

Doesn't moult much

Not good for first time owners

These shaggy-coated Scottish herding dogs can look scruffy or super-glam depending on how well groomed the coat is. The pet trim is cute and easier to manage, but the 'Bearded-ness' of these collies is the very essence of the breed.

FACT SHEET

Attractive to ...

Collie lovers who like to brush hair.

Not the best for ...

The squeamish. If you can't hose down a hairy bum after an upset tum, or baulk at finding a squished frog in the coat (yes, really!), then maybe think about a Smooth Collie – or maybe not a dog at all?
