Dachshund (Miniature Smooth Haired)
Good for first time owners
In its native Germany and many other countries, there are 9, not 6, varieties of Dachshund, with the Rabbit size as well as the Standard and Miniature. Smaller than the Mini, the Rabbit size is very dinky!
Someone looking for an easy-care coat - one quick once-over with a hound glove and it's done!
Someone who wants a naturally friendly, outgoing pet. The Smooth is said to be a little more timid than the other coat types, but it's nothing that good, early socialisation and training can't overcome.
Mini Smooth Dachshund
Small enough to carry when needed
Medium (About an hour)
Doesn't have to be a solid hour, you can give them lots of short walks.
Dogs that you mainly just need to polish! But be warned - short haired dogs moult all the time!
All canines drop some hair, think of it as dog glitter!
