Taking its name from Dalmatia, frescos of this breed can be seen in churches in this region of Croatia dating back to the early 1600s. They became popular carriage dogs, running alongside to protect the people and contents inside, and to guard the horses at night.

Those who like to wear black. Dalmatian hair might be short but it seems to get everywhere - usually just before you're leaving for work. Like Cruella de Vil, you'll be wearing Dalmatian every season!

Without sufficient mental and physical exercise will probably do the wall of death around the living room!


Dogs that you mainly just need to polish! But be warned - short haired dogs moult all the time!

Match with a breeder

Upon completing your introduction call a breeder will review your application. If successful you’ll be able to arrange a meeting and be accepted onto their waiting list. A Tailwise fee of £95 (excl. VAT) will be due at the point you pay a deposit.
