Field Spaniel

KC Pedigree, Medium

Moderate shedding

Not good for first time owners

Spaniel' was a broad description for a dog that did spanielly things – flushing birds on hunts. It wasn't until the advent of dog shows that spaniels were carved out into different breeds according to size and coat. The Field Spaniel name was given to the group of solid-coloured, large land spaniels.
