German Spitz Mittel

Small Size

Fluff monster

Good for first time owners

It's thought the Spitz type was brought to central Europe with the Vikings. They were popular with fishermen and others that saw their watchdog potential and used the dogs' unmistakable bark to their advantage.

FACT SHEET

Attractive to ...

Someone who doesn't mind a bit of grooming. The Klein coat is mega glam and functional, protecting the dog from the elements. But it does need a bit of help to stay mat-free – and twig-free after a walk.

Not the best for ...

Peace lovers. The Mittel loves to converse – with its owners, or whoever will listen!
