The Irish Terrier is famed for its stunning red coat – but in the early days of dog shows in the late 1800s, the breed came in all sorts of colours!
Someone that will enjoy the feisty, spirited antics of a confident, loving terrier. They can be a handful, so early and ongoing socialisation and training are a must.
Someone that likes a quiet life. The Irish Terrier is bold and vocal!
Irish Red Terrier
You could pick them up if you had to in an emergency.
Medium (About an hour)
Doesn't have to be a solid hour, you can give them lots of short walks.
If not hand stripped will go fluffy. If you don't pluck their fur in the old fashioned way they transform from spikey to soft.
All canines drop some hair, think of it as dog glitter!
