The distinctive look of the 'Little Lion Dog' comes from the way it is traditionally clipped. The hindquarters is shaved, leaving the Lowchen with a plumed tail and a mane of hair over its neck and shoulders.
Single ladies. It is rumoured that the shaved rear end of the Lowchen was warm to the touch and was useful for heating the beds of its female owners.
Anyone who doesn't enjoy canine company. Lowchens need the attention of humans and are not happy being left alone for long.
Little Lion Dog
Small - but bigger than most cats
Medium (About an hour)
Doesn't have to be a solid hour, you can give them lots of short walks.
Professional help needed. Curly, keeps growing and needs cutting.
Doesn't moult much
But all dogs shed dander so if you're allergic, make sure you'll be ok
