Traditionally kept as pack hounds, the Segugio Italiano is very stubborn once on a scent trail. It will capture and also kill game. In 2020 the Kennel Club declassified the breed as there had been no new registrations for over a decade.

Someone with a very active home to match this high-energy dog.

Not the best for ...

Anyone who can't keep up with the breed's stamina. When hunting, it can stay in the field for 12 hours without a break.

Match with a breeder

Upon completing your introduction call a breeder will review your application. If successful you’ll be able to arrange a meeting and be accepted onto their waiting list. A Tailwise fee of £95 (excl. VAT) will be due at the point you pay a deposit.
