The Shar Pei is an ancient Chinese hunting and fighting breed whose name literally means 'sand skin'.
Wrinkle lovers – the Shar Pei is full of them!
Anyone not prepared to put in the groundwork. Shar Pei are naturally suspicious of strangers and other dogs so early training and socialisation are essential.
Chinese Shar Pei
A bit smaller than a Labrador.
Medium (About an hour)
Doesn't have to be a solid hour, you can give them lots of short walks.
Dogs that you mainly just need to polish! But be warned - short haired dogs moult all the time!
Doesn't moult much
But all dogs shed dander so if you're allergic, make sure you'll be ok
